British DVD Geekyness, and Gamesday
Feb. 5th, 2006 01:17 amWent DVD shopping, looking for Jeeves and Wooster, Season One, but all they had was the complete series, which was over budget, so I might get it next payday, but I did grab a couple of other great British Comedy series that I like, one was the complete "Yes, Minister", and the other was a great series from the people that created Wallace and Gromit called "Rex the Runt". Nobody I know here has ever heard of it, and keep giving me weird looks for it, but I still like it.
Today was also a gamesday. Arrived late, and had to leave early, so I only got to play a few games. New one was "The Princes of Florence," which was a neat combination, bidding, building, and tile game, and a good tetris skill doesn't hurt. Also played a game of Illuminati, I just play it for the funny combinations that happen, this time I got to use "Hollywood" to destroy "The Moral Minority" Hehehe. Lastly was a fun game of Junta, the game of third world dictators trying to siphon as much foreign aid into your swiss bank account as you can. I kept getting assassinated before I could deposit anything, so I lost badly. Still, very fun day.
