Things I want to do in the New Year.
Jan. 5th, 2006 07:15 pmI'm not going to call them resolutions, just a check list of things I want to accomplish this year.
1. Keep going to the gym.
I'm happy with the progress I've made so far, I want to focus on trying to burn off more weight.
2. Be more creative.
This includes my drawing, writing and using my digital camera more. I've had it for over a year, and I think there are about 20 pictures on it.
3. Clear out the junk I have.
I am an insane pack rat, I have boxes of crap that I'm never going to need, but I keep it around because "It might be useful sometime".
4. Transfer my notes onto the computer.
I have hundreds of pages of notes and sketches and diagrams and equations and other stuff all over the place, I want to go through them and put everything that's on them onto the computer. I was recently frantically searching for some notes that I had misplaced that I wanted to work on.
5. Get back into programming.
I use to do a lot of programming as a hobby (co-op taught me that I never want to work as a professional programmer), but kept being distracted by other things.
6. Get published.
Results from 4. I have some ideas that I think are interesting enough to get published in something like the Journal of Recreational Mathematics. I need to look into it.
7. Be more active on LJ.
There have been numerous posts that I've seen that I wanted to responded to, but either got distracted, or couldn't get the words right to say what I wanted to say, so I didn't. I've also avoided posting things for the similar reasons. But now that I'm more familiar with the way the LJ community works, I'm going to try and be more outgoing. Which was the whole goal of joining LJ to begin with.
8. Do stuff.
I'm probably forgetting something else I wanted to put here, but it's getting long, and I can't remember what else I wanted.
